Job Seeker FAQ

How soon can I start working in property management?

Tomorrow, or maybe today….would that be too soon? We have many immediate job opportunities for you. In order to be considered, we will discuss your preferences, skills and availability. You can connect with your local recruiter and complete the application process today!

What is involved in the application process?

First, you start with an in-person appointment to fill out an application and then interview with your recruiter. You will be asked to provide two forms of identification and complete work history information. As well, we will go over your preferences of shift, type of work and location. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to discuss what skills you have and what you are looking for in your next position.

After the interview, you will go through basic safety training and, for office and professional positions, may be asked to complete computer testing to determine skill levels.

Career Strategies does reference checks with previous employers and will initiate a nationwide criminal background check.

How often should I contact your office after an interview?

Career Strategies wants to talk with you! We urge you to check in with us at least weekly. You don’t need to check in every day, but if your availability changes, please let us know right away.

What if I am not interested in a certain position when it is offered? Is it all right to turn it down?

YES! Be honest with us – we want you to be happy! Not every job is going to meet your expectations. If you are not interested in a position you are free to decline. We will continue to offer positions to you based on your skills and preferences.

What if I am on an assignment and decide it is not for me?

We realize that not every job is a good fit for you; sometimes you do not know that until you have tried the position. If you are on an assignment and find it is not going to work for you, we will ask that you contact us immediately. You may be asked to stay at an assignment long enough for us to find a replacement, but we will attempt to remedy the situation as quickly as possible. Communication is the key to a successful working relationship! We expect open communication from you and you can expect the same from us.

What do I pay for your services?

Nada, zip, nothing! You will not pay for any of the services Career Strategies provides. We are an employer paid staffing partner!

How can I stay informed about open positions?

Some of our positions will be posted on our website, so you can check back frequently. Your best bet is to pick up the phone and stay in touch with the recruiter at your local office!
