Property Manager

REGULAR POSITIONS WITH APARTMENT COMMUNITIES MAY DIFFER FROM DUTIES FOR CAREER STRATEGIES TEMPORARY POSITIONS THUS TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT DUTIES ARE SUBJECT TO APPROVAL BY CAREER STRATEGIES' ASSOCIATE.
A Property Manager oversees the community staff and directs all efforts and aspects of an apartment community. The manager is responsible for providing exceptional service to community residents, future residents and the corporate management team along with acting as an ambassador between the community and the owner of the property. This individual must provide the community with value and quality by assessing the needs of client they are assisting and providing a solution that not only coincides with the goals of the community but is beneficial for all concerned parties. The manager also is responsible for assessing and addressing vacancy issues, tenant issues, marketing, maintenance and training.
Basic responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
- Greeting all customers in a professional manner
- Keeping a high level of service in mind with every task while resolving conflict to benefit all concerned parties
- Advanced bookkeeping and clerical work
- Facilitating all aspects in the apartment leasing process
- Promoting positive resident relations
- Respecting the boundaries of confidentiality, fair housing laws and safety
- Following up on all service promised
- Preparing month end reports
- Budgeting/managing the budgets
- Recognizing and motivating employees
- Planning and executing on site marketing and advertising directives
- Mentoring and training new leasing consultants
- Vigilant tracking of market trends
Ideal candidates will have:
- 2-5 years leasing experience
- Proven sales track record
- Ability to multi-task
- Projection of a professional image by following dress code and appearance standards as set forth by the community
- Great project management/execution skills
- 2-3 years in a management position
- Strong customer service background and skills
- Advanced typing and clerical skills
- Familiarity with AMSI, Yardi, Rent Roll, Yieldstar, MRI, &/or LRO
- Reliable transportation
- Clean criminal background
- Outstanding leadership skills
- Excellent telephone skills
- A positive, upbeat attitude
